The location of Catalonia Gaud could not be better: Madrids Gran Va at the intersection of Alcal Street, a few metres from the Plaza Cibeles and Puerta del Sol. All of Madrids main attractions are in walking distance from the Museum golden triangle to the Congreso de los Diputados to the tapas bars, etc.AVE (high Speed train) is located by Atocha station, just 1.7 Km from the hotel; it just takes eight minutes by taxi or 20 minutes if you decide to make a walk.The remains of the building date from the beginning of the century, although it opened as a hotel only a few years ago. It was renovated in 2000 and still has the original neoplateresque faade of 1917.Catalonia Gaud has 185 rooms on 7 floors. All of them have air conditioning, satellite TV with Canal +, piped-in music, radio, telephone, minibar, safe deposit box and complete marble bathroom with a hair dryer and a telephone.The hotel also has other facilities such as a fitness centre with a gym, a sauna and a jacuzzi free of charge. We also offer massage, hairdressers, a beauty salon and babysitting services. In the La Pedrera restaurant, our clients can sample excellent Catalonian and international dishes. The hotel also has a coffee-bar, meeting, convention and banquet rooms.
