The Hotel Alpina is a child- and family-friendly hotel with a big garden and a childrens playground in Kandersteg in the Bernese Oberland.We offer mountain view from all rooms, a lounge with an open fireplace, a pleasant restaurant and a leisure room with TV and video. In summer a terrace restaurant and deck chairs are available. You can also play table tennis and darts. In winter there is direct access to the cross-country ski runs.The restaurant serves a number of different Swiss specialities, including our famous home-made Steintal rsti, cheese fondue and the special house coffee.This beautiful mountain village is 1200 metres above sea level. It is surrounded by imposing mountains and unspoilt landscape. This was formed by glaciers and volcanoes many thousands of years ago. Traces of glaciers can still be found.From 4 to 15 years old, children will be charged for an extra bed 3 times their age per night (7 years old, CHF 21; 10 years old: CHF 30). Breakfast and Taxes are included in room rates.
Hotel Alpina - Directions:
We recommend the train with connections from different cities in Europe.From the station it is only 8 minutes walk however if you telephone us on your arrival at the station we will pick you up.If you are travelling by car take the motorway from Spiez which is 25 km from Kandersteg. The hotel has plenty of parking.
